About the Midlands Meccano Guild

Formed in 1967 the Midlands Meccano Guild was one of the first Meccano Clubs formed in the UK aimed at an adult membership. Members have a wide range of interests in Meccano modelling and collecting. We meet twice a year in March and October near Coventry in the Heart of England. MIDLANDS MODEL ENGINEERING EXHIBITION 2011

The Midlands Meccano Guild had another very successful stand at the recent Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre. The stand featured John Molden's Wild Mouse roller-coaster and a display of Hornby Speedboats by Roy Whitehouse. These exhibits attracted a lot of attention from the knowledgeable crowd. We were awarded third prize (again!) in the club stand competition. We were complimented because every year we put on a quite different show.
